Non-transferable
The manufacturer’s warranty extends only to the original purchaser and ends upon transfer of ownership.
Responsibility
Under no circumstances will Montreal Sauna Inc. be responsible for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the
product, components and parts attached or installed with it, nor be held responsible for injuries caused to any person or claims
for any damages resulting from the use, installation or maintenance of the product. Not responsible for any loss of rental or loss
of use.
The purchaser assumes full responsibility for the maintenance and use of the heating system as well as any consequences that
may result from misuse.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the fully assembled sauna will properly fit in the desired area, by first measuring
the complete structure. Please check the dimensions before ordering. A minimum of 10 inches of working space in height, in
addition to the height of the barrel is required for a proper installation. In the case of the 6' diameter sauna barrel, 75+10 = 85
Inch (215 cm) minimum is required for installation.
The buyer is responsible to notify us within ten (10) days if any parts are missing or if there is damage to the merchandise. After
the ten (10) days, the buyer waives his rights to claim the existence of any obvious defect or damage. The customer is
responsible for the reception of the material.
If the customer chooses to use the services of a transport carrier "pick-up carrier", or by himself "pick-up customer", the
customer accepts that he is responsible for any transport damages. Thus, if the customer should decide to install the sauna
himself or by someone else who does not represent "Montreal Sauna Inc.", the customer is also responsible for handling
damages and is not covered by the warranty.
It is also the customer's responsibility to inquire with the municipality if a permit or authorization is required for the use of the
sauna and/or the wood burning heater stove on the desired premises. The customer is responsible for all electrical work at the
desired location and all electrical work must be done by a qualified electrician.
Installation
If, upon delivery, our installer finds that one or more of these conditions have not been met, have not been declared and/or will
result in additional work, (ground not prepared to accommodate the structure, ground not leveled, or any condition that
compromises the health and safety of our employees or the safe installation of the sauna) our team of installers will have to
cancel the installation and will not proceed with the work on that date. Additional travel costs will be required for the return of
the installers. A new installation date will be set. Buyer must also ensure that the construction site is located at a reasonable
horizontal distance from the place of unloading of the material, such as 100 to 150 feet (30 – 45 meters).
Warranty
The manufacturer warrants saunas against defects in materials and workmanship under normal/residential use for a period
that is determined by the manufacturer from the date of receipt of the product by the original end-user consumer.
This warranty does not apply to claims resulting from misuse, neglect, accident, abuse, installation, including, but not limited to,
exposure to fire or excessive heat and other similar risks. Also does not apply to normal wear and tear and/or natural weather
conditions.
The warranty does not cover regular required maintenance such as tightening the bands, cleaning, sanding or staining the
sauna. Refer to your sauna assembly manual for maintenance guidelines.
In the event that small splinters of wood give way at the junction of the walls in the niche of the moat, this does not affect the
use of the sauna, and is not covered in the guarantee.
The warranty is void if the sauna is damaged as a result of landslide, earthquake, ground movement, extreme weather event,
lightning, tornado, extreme rain, flood, flooding, overflow of a course or body of water, fire, conflagration; following
accumulation of snow or ice on the structure and ground anchoring.
The manufacturer does not guarantee that the sauna sold is completely waterproof. Since wood is a porous material, it is
normal for water to seep in during heavy rains, especially on the ceiling and walls. The water infiltrated in this way may cause
pigments in the wood, which, on drying, form rings or stains on the wood. This is normal and does not interfere with the use of
the sauna. Please note that the initial installation of your sauna does not include any service calls for maintenance such as
tightening the bolts or sanding since this is not an installation fault.
This warranty is a part only (materiel) warranty and any service or labour costs required would not be considered as part of the
warranty. Postage, handling or delivery charges of the product to and from the manufacturer for warranty repairs and for any
related charges for the installation/removal of these products are NOT included in your warranty.
Disclaimer
The acrylic dome melting temperature is 160°C, however long-term exposed to lower temperatures, as low as 95°C can damage
or deform the acrylic structure. We recommend to never leave the sauna heater unattended or without any supervision to avoid
such damage.
The door, windows and dome are designed to withstand normal sauna temperatures of between 60°C and 90° Celsius Max.
Raising the temperature of the sauna in any way above this threshold creates a risk of material damage or deformation and is
considered a misuse, this will not be covered under the guarantee.
Any modification or addition to the heating system (including modifications to extend the run time of the heating system, or the
ability to start it remotely) poses a potential fire hazard, is strictly prohibited and constitutes improper use.
The barrel sauna sold is considered as a DRY SAUNA. The maximum recommended humidity level is 30%. Prolonged exposure to
higher levels of humidity can damage the structure. The use of the sauna as a “hammam” style steam bath constitutes misuse
and voids any manufacturer’s warranty.
Buyer agrees that Montreal Sauna Inc. remains owner of goods sold until full payment of all its obligations. The buyer also
agrees that Montreal Sauna Inc. may retain all amounts already paid as deposit in case of contract cancellation or refusal to take
